My car takes 6.5, and wil read perfect with it. Oil Pressure JUMPS up to about the 'm' in normal. I heard something about having issues with some of the PI car dipsticks not being the correct length.

The older generation synthetics might have been a problem with seat and seals and such as they tended to act much like penetrating oil with older engines. The new generation synthetics do not have this problem as you can actually read on the new Mobil 1 cans where it mentions that their oil is fully compatible with all engine seals and actually expands them to protect against leakage......at least some such thing as that. The bottom line on synthetics is simple:
1) Better flow characteristics for instant pump up in weather down to -50 degrees. Starts in January the same as July.
2) Handles high heat much better with no thermal breakdown.
3) Creates zero sludge (not carbon based) and maintains all internal engine parts "as new". Mobil 1, for instance, ran an engine 200,000 miles and then mic'ed the internals and they measured within "new part" specs.
4) Increased horsepower and torque due to lower friction. A Cobra may dyno out as high as 3 to 4 more HP when used with a synthetic.
5) Increased rpm's without engine damage. Your car will actually pull a slightly higher rpm in each gear without complaining.
6) Extended drain intervals. If you change your oil four (4) times a year, you can get by with just three (3) oil changes when using synthetic. Always use a premium filter, however.
7) Piece of mind your "baby" is flowing as free as she can possibly run.
Why use anything else. Conventional oils just can not compare to synthetics. Here is a little background video on synthetic oil from one of the premium synthetic suppliers out there:

I've actually considered switching over, but was hesitant of the "engine Flush" that's required to do so...
Anyone have any recommended "over the counter" flush?? I've been a fan of Amsoil in the past, and would probably use them, although some folks mention Mobil 1 and Royal Purple..
Which Viscosity are you using?? 10w-40?? 20w-50??
JT
95 Eagle Talon TSi AWD - 12.7 @ 103mph (R.I.P.)
00 Mustang GT - Back in Action, still too slow.....
