Either I get that one, or this red 2000 GT saleen clone that has a vortech supercharged engine that puts 523hp to the rear wheels.
For considerably more, and I am leaning heavily towards the red one.

Looks good, it's got cobra wheels or at least replica wheels on it. I'd go and ask too take a look at it. Do your homework before you go, make sure you know your stuff. I'd straight up ask him about the motor. Make sure it's not a scam too. Very pretty car.

Uh...yeah that one is a little nicer lol. If that car checks out (and you can swing it) i'd choose that of the other in a heartbeat.

If the guy can't give you any detailed knowledge about the car, then that most likely means he's confused and just plain doesn't know what he's talking about. To me it's reasonable to think that anybody who had done a 2V to 4V swap would have some better info about it than what you're getting(even if he bought the car that way, I think he would still be able to offer up a little more knowledge than that). If you can get a picture of the engine, post it and we'll let you know; but my gut feeling is that it's a regular GT. Good luck, and let us know what happens.

he could have thrown in a Mark 8 engine, if so you could tell from the intake of what year Mark it is from. Gen 1's have throttle body at the back by the firewall ('93-'96) and Gen 2's have a side mounted throttle body that sits in the middle of the intake ('97-'98)

Gen1

Gen2

The red GT's owner knows plenty about the car.
The specs are:
Vortech S-Trim 12 Psi, air-to-air intercooler, Vortech Mini Race Bypass Valve, Forged built Cobra short block, ported heads, blower cams, long tube headers, x-pipe, Borla exhaust, 87k miles, Cobra 900hp clutch
Dynoed 523rwhp, 480lbs torque

He just wants considerably more for it.
