Default clutch quadrant & cable adjuster

Does anyone really think these are a must with a aftermarket clutch? Thanks for the advice

Its just good for adjustments... espically on a clutch that grabs as hard as something like a Spec Stage III. Easy to install also. Ive done a couple.

You never 'need one'. All it does is allow you to set the disengagement point in the pedal travel. I have a billet quadrant and cable on my 01 S281 anhad the same on my S281E. I am really picky about the disengagement point in the travel of the clutch pedal. I like it up high, so if I depress the pedal 2-3 inches, the clutch is disengaged. I prefer it set up this way for SCCA racing, allowing me to 'heel and toe' the car easier. But if I was predominatly drag racing it, I would set the disengagment point lower. This would allow for more precise clutch modulation, thus better launches. Most Fords are set up with the disengagement point too low, IMO. -That was one of the complaints of the 03-04 cobras about the stock clutch. The disengagement point was awfully low. I also feel that the billet quadrant vs. the ****ty plastic quadrant is a good way to go. I think it helps the 'smoothness' of the pedal feel some.

Not necessarily. If you like the way the pedal feels right now and you like the particular travel of the clutch pedalnow, then just leave it alone, IMO.
