Default Service Engine

I have a 2002 gt... it has an o/r xpipe and a brenspeed tune. for the past 2 weeks, ive been going back and forth with a service engine code. i had the codes ran and autozone told me it was a bad 02 sensor, so i changed the one that showed up bad. i cleared the codes then 2 days later its back on. i changed the fuel filter then cleared and now its back on. my mechanic is telling me i need to take the tune off and see if the light comes back on(he thinks the tune is causing the issue) if i take the tune off, i have to remove the pipe.. people here charge atleast 100 dollars to switch out the midpipe.

has anyone had this problem or can tell me what might be wrong? so far ive heard vacuum leak, fenderwell intake is getting wet, MAF sensor is dirty, 02 sensor is bad, the tune messed up the computer(although ive had the tune 9 months), and i think thats all ive heard so far... do any of you have any ideas/suggestions?

thank yall again...

You have a vacuum leak somewhere. And why do you need a tune to swap mid-pipes?

the service engine light will come right back on if i take the tune off but not the xpipe. its an off road pipe. im about to spray some carb cleaner through the lines to check for a vacuum leak. ill let you know how it goes, thank you whitefoxGT

You can look the codes up here and see possible causes and solutions--I agree with the others, look for vacuum leaks.

An exhaust leak upstream of the sensors, or even close to the sensors downstream, could also be the cause--however since it's both banks look for a vacuum leak first.

When you get back to Autozone tell them that it was a good O2 sensor reporting another problem...

alright i got it figured out thanks to quarter mile solutions here in houston. it was indeed a vacuum leak. a hole covering about 70% of one of the inlets
