What do gears help with and how do i know which one to get?

They help with hp and torque manipulation to make your car go faster.

Which ones to get depend on your goals and personal preferences.

The general consensus is 373's, 3.90's, and 410's if running n/a, and 3.73's or less if runing a power adder. Again, these are just the general preferences.
