Default New Headlights? Or Headlight covers?

I have a black mustang and I know its not original or anything, but I was darken my headlights and taillights...well my dad being a mustang enthusiast as well but also being...well my dad lol is thinking saftey...I like the covers cuz they are straight up black, not darker or smoked...but he is thinking theyll be too dark too see out of at night so he found on late model restoration some headlights that are all black on the inside but the lense is clear, BUT its a darker look...not blacked out

what yall think, do ya know of any "safer" but blacked out like the CTC headlight covers. or should i jus do what im thinkin and get the covers?

Well, you have the dark GTS type covers you can use, American Muscle makes a smoked kit http://www.americanmuscle.com/smoked...trim-9904.html. They also have one for $5 more you can get the smoked decal for your taillight if you don't want to go real dark. I think they look fine on black. I had GTS covers on another car I had years ago and really the only problem was I couldn't see squat at night. I always had my brights on and never once got flashed for them being too bright. If you're looking for a good look without going too dark, that may be a decent idea.

Listen to your dad!!! I had smoked headlights and they were terrible. You wont be able to see anything at night. They cut out more than half the light output from stock. The covers are ugly and nobody really has them anymore. Keep the stock headlights for sure, but the taillights you can do whatever you want with

IMO, the smoked ones with clear corners (like the ones AM has) look the best.
