today i started up my car and started to rolling in 2nd through the neighberhood i heard a big crunch and now when im pressing the gas theres like a clunking sound when i let off the gas it dont do it it sounds like it coming from the tranny area like right at the gear **** the faster i go the louder it gets yall have any idea what it would be

i also noticed that 3rd through fifth u ca hear it in 3rd every gear after it gets louder

There are at least a dozen things in the drive train that could make a "big crunch" and cause the symptoms you describe--some off the top of my head would be a failed pilot bearing causing the clutch main shaft to break, a bent shift fork, a bad U-joint in the drive shaft, etc.

I wouldn't even begin to speculate what the problem might be, you'll have to have someone knowledgeable listen to, and look at, it...

yeah its either right there at the clucth or right there at the u joint its not coming from the tranny thanx for the info
