Default installing predator tune

After I install the tune ... do I need to disconnect the battery cable for a couple minutes etc? I thought I read this somewhere... just making sure.

No, after you flash the new tune, just start up the car and go.

Glad to see you got it, how is it running?

Yeah the best way though to make sure it takes the tune is to have it say you may unplug it now, unplug it, turn car off, count to 10 and start up. If you do it too fast sometimes won't take tune.

Also try not to mess too much with your spark advance and a/f ratios without being on a dyno.

And make sure you have the newest tune from diablo. You can check the web page and see which version of software you got on the tuner and get it updated. I updated mine and with the update, came an updated tune for the 99-04 GT. I noticed a difference from the old tune to the new tune. Check out here.

I had the version R50. There were a few updates since then and now they are on r50d. Just turn on your tuner and it will tell you which one you got. Trust me, its worth the upgrade!!!!

^^^
what he said.

Don't disconnect the battery. Run premium fuel. Don't get crazy with the timing especially if you don't add fuel to combat detonation and verify results with dyno and wideband O2 device. Have fun.

Oh, and all you need to update the tuner is a laptop, male to female serial cable and you can power up the tuner using your car. Its easy!

I keep getting a check engine light soon coming on... Saying the bank#2 is running lean. I bumped back the a/f ratios by .5 to the rich side. I turned off what it said to to disable the rear o2's and it still comes on..
