Nothing wrong with cutting the springs. Stock GT springs are not progressive rate.

Even so, you will be modifying the spring rate of your springs by cutting them - it'll make them softer.

Cutting one coil is plenty to get rid of the 4x4 look (it'll be lower than Ford c-springs) and there won't be a terrible impact on ride quality. You won't need C/C plates.

How do I know? Personal experience, we did it with a friend's v6. The ride got noticably softer - wasn't such a bad thing. His car was able to be aligned properly with no other changes.

So why not do both? Cut them now, see how you like it. When you save up for new springs, then swap em out! Your stock springs are hardly worth it even as scrap metal.

They aren't stock springs. They are Kenny brown lowering springs. Just they barely lowered the car at all.

Here's pics of how it sits now. The front is way too high for my liking.

The front kinda looks higher than stock 2 me. As 4 cutting springs I would NEVER do it. When it comes 2 anything around my suspension I don't want 2 risk something failing because I wouldn't just spend the money 4 what I need in the 1st place. I got 2 girls that may b in the car and they r more important than saving a few bucks.

Thats a bummer man, did you install them yourself? If so and you could find the time and spare money, I would personally feel better just selling the ones you got and buy some different springs.

Ya, i did the work myself out in the driveway.

The front is already missing the bottom isolators. I couldn't get the springs to fit back in with the isolators on.
