Default Replacing Mufflers

Im wondering, is it possible to weld in a pair of SLP's into my stock exhaust or will I need any type of custom piping done?? Also would it sound really any different then if i bought the complete setup? It seems like this would save a lot of money for the same effect.

just welded in if u wanted as long as the current stock pipe isnt rusted up 2 bad, any size difference between that and the original muffler could be made up with addition tubing

The flows on my car r just welded in. The whole cat backs r nice if u get ss or like 5pointslow91 said if ur stock pipes r rusted up bad. If I were u I would go 2 youtube and search clips of cars with the same setup as u want from headers all the way back to make sure thats what u want. I wish I would have b4 installing the flowmasters on my car. I like the SLP powerflows or the steeda's, but thats just me.

ok, well it says the in and out tubes are 2.5" so im wondering how wide the stock pipes are, cuz it'd be great just getting them welded or something. Will the noise output be similar to buying the whole exhaust? Im located way way way north, Antioch, IL. I think its the northern most city in illinois lol

Noise output should be close, but the cat back would sound a little better due to the 2.5" tubing, and bending.

So will i have to buy some sort of small tubing to gap the width differences?? Or is it still possible to weld them w/o extra piping? sry, ive never bought just mufflers before.
