Thanks for all the input guys! I am going to install it myself this time. The first time it went bad, I didn't know it and the shop caught it and so I was surprised and let them go ahead and replace it. When it went bad again I had them replace it because it was under warranty. I have the install procedure printed out right out of the Ford service manual and I've ordered an OEM Ford hub bearing. I just have a hard time thinking the spindle is bad (bent) because the car has never hit anything to cause it. I'll keep you guys posted, but I'm a bit more hopeful now that this may just be a combo of poor install (improper torque) and low quality replacement parts.

Don't forget to rent (for free) a TQ wrench that goes higher than STD one's. A STD one only goes to 150 ft/lbs. I know my local Autozone rents one that goes to 350 or something

Thats at the top of my list BraMas! This time I sure hope it is true that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.

My 1999 GT is now making a similar noise. I currently only hear it when in right, or left turns....not going straight. Same problem? Just a bad bearing? Car has oly 25000 miles on it. The left sounds fine...
