Default Mac Timing adjuster

I have a Mac timing adjuster on my 2000 mustang gt
It has R10-A10 on it. Where is the best place to set it without messing anything up?

Default

R= Retard (lower timing)
A= Advance (increase timing)

Depending on your other mods and what fuel you're running you should be able to advance 4-11 degrees from stock. I run 7 degrees on my 02 GT on 88 octane with some bolt-ons and it doesn't have a problem but at lower elevation you would probably want to run premium fuel.
