Default Upgrading to power windows

I have a 97 GT that has crank windows. It also has power door locks that are actuated by my keyfob remote or the lock pull itself. I've thought about refreshing my interior. Virtually all the used door panels I see are meant for electric windows. I have seen many aftermarket window motor kits for sale as well as OEM. Is it possible that the wiring for electric windows in in the door panel regardless of whether I have electric windows? If not, is it possible that I can use the OEM switches to control the aftermarket windows?
What about power lock switch? My locks seem to be powered as I lock them remotely. Another upgrade I'd like to do is a leather covered steering wheel. My car doesn't have cruise control, and so many used steering wheel's I see have the cruise control switches. Is it possible the car is already wired for cruise and simply needs the switches? Or is it easy to leave off the cruise switches? Mostly my wishes are to have a nice leather covered wheel, and convert my gray door panels to black or half black (black on top half) In the process, I wouldn't mind upgrading to power windows and cruise. My apologies, I usually play around with 70s' era Ford trucks. I'm pretty sure I can't put a 390 into my Mustang (jokeing)
