can you use an aftermarket clutch quadrant with a stock 3650 clutch cable?

Yes...and I think it has been documented that the stock clutch cable is the BEST one to run

You will need an firewall adjuster to use a stock cable with an after market quadrant. I have been using UPRs 3-hook quadrant with their "quick-click" adjuster, and the original stock cable, for over 3 years and 70k miles...

I had a Steeda Quick Release, Steeda Firewall Adjuster, and Steeda Adjustable Cable. I was having all kinds of problems with squealing, engagement point, knocking, rattling, chattering. I tried to fix it with all of those aforementioned parts, but it ended up being that the TOB was wobbling on the TOB retainer, which is part of the bellhousing on the 3650. After I replaced that, and the clutch again, with a Spec 1+, the adjustable cable came quite handy when getting everything ironed out. I know that the TOB wouldn't ever wobble again, as long as no one jacked with my adjustments.
