Default B&M Supercooler woes

After wasting two weekends on this seemingly endless manhunt this is one of my last resorts, with the last one being calling B&M.

First off let me say yes i've searched my *** off in google I only ever post when i've exhausted almost all resources.

When I went to install this tranny cooler and J-MOD I thought for sure the J-MOD would be more frustrating. J-MOD was challenging and required some tricky thinking but this godamn transmission line fitting has me at a stand still and its all I need to complete the simple trans cooler install. The cooler is already mounted, and i'm ready to just hook the hoses right up.

Heres the issue:

As you can see this guy has found a coupler to solve the problem, but I cannot find one.

The problem is the barbe d female fitting that is supplied with the kit does not fit onto the transmission return line(seen disconnected from the radiator). Theres two problems with the fitting. The first is that the threaded section of the fitting isnt long enough to reach over to the male threads on the trans line. The other problem is that the male fitting already on the trans line isnt fully threaded. The first half of that silver fitting isnt threaded at all and its in fact WIDER than the 3/8ths inch threading on the second half of the fitting. This is bizarre to me.

I referenced to this article for help but it doesnt help : http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-foru...-up-4r70w.html

This guy says just run up to home depot and grab a coupler to solve the problem. Well I ran all around town. Home Depot, Lowes, AdvanceAuto, Tractor Supply, etc etc etc and nobody had anything that would do the job.

Then if you read post #16 a guy says that part #DER-13024 from summit fits and does the job on his 2001 GT. I look it up and it appeared to have twice the amount of threading than the one supplied with the kit, so I overnighted it. This is when I found out that it still didnt work because the unthreaded portion of the male trans fitting is TOO wide. Yet it appears it would thread in if it could make it over this wider portion of the trans line fitting.

Once I get home i'll take my own pictures that will explain this much better if I havent found a solution yet.

Any ideas?

It sounds like the same problem I had when I did mine a year ago. I ended up cutting the hard line and used a ****** compression fitting.
