Default Cluster Swap

I'd like to install a 2003 Mach 1 instrument cluster in a 2001 Mustang GT.
Does the dealer have to do this or can I simply plug in the Mach 1 instrument cluster and drive?
Thanks in advance

you'll need to either swap the circuit board on the back of the clusters so that your odometer swaps over, and the car will start, or do what i did and just swap the gauge faces. but then you'll need to recalibrate your needles, which i made a how-to for if you go that route.

to answer your questions, no your dealer does not need to do it, and no you cannot just plug it in and drive. the car actually won't start if you just plug it in and try to drive off.
