Default How hard is it to remove the front bumper cover

I need to remove the front bumper cover on my gt to install the mach 1 grill delete the right way. I first tried doing it like this guy says http://members.***.net/red9r/Install...01%20Grill.htm

but I do not have hands the size of a five year old and even with pulling back the bumper I could not tighten the screws and see what I was doing. So I just put two layers on 3m doubled sided trimm tape on the curved part that goes on the bumper like everyone says to and it seemed to work really good but after 2 day of sitting in the sun the tape is starting to unstick and lift, so I just want to remove the bumper and get it done the right way to make it look good. I know this is allot of work for a little part but i am picky about my car and this bugs the crap out of me. I also see that when you buy a new bumper it come with rivets, is the cover riveted on? anyone have any pointers that has removed it before?

It is just a bunch of those plastic push screws I don't know what they're called. There are also two bolts holding it on where it meets the fender. I isn't too hard to remove and it doesnt take too long.

You will probably need to buy new plastic screws at the hardware store unless you don't damage the ones you have now.

I kinda thought about using some body adhesive and glue the part to the bumper but if I have had my car painted ( I plan on it in a couple of years) I would be screwed

I had my front bumper of two days ago. It takes 10 minutes to pop it off. Those rivets are actually plastic, like previously stated. If you carefully remove them they can be reused as I did. There are a few screws in the fender well that you need to take out. It's very easy.

a couple plastic screws up top. cant remeber exactally how many. 2 plastic push pins on the underside of the cover, closer to the center of the veichle. 1 screw in each fenerwell that holds the cover to splash sheild. 4 7/16's bolts,2 on each side. after you push the splash sheild outa the way you should be able to reach em. Deep well socket indeed needed.

^^^ you need to undo part of the splash shield. once you have that where is moveable, you can reach the two screws where the bumper and fender meet. buy the new plastic rivets... you will mess the old ones up.
