Default Throttle Body Spacer do they do any good?

I had a Helix Power Tower Throttle body spacer on my car and today i took it off when i put my 75mm Tb on and i was wondering if they are any good. Do they really increase your hp and torque or what, i have no idea if there are any benefits from having one if there are should i put it back on?

they are a waste of money. only good thing they can be used for is screwing nitrous nozzles into

i have one (UPR), and the only reason i got it was for nitrous, they were on sale when i got it for like 40$ i think. but then i got the turbo, so now im using it as a hook up for the boost gauge, wastegate, and BOV. other than that, i've even heard stories of them reducing performance/causing sputtering etc.

bring it out to the drag strip...run back to back like 5 runs, bolt that sucker on and then run another back to back 5 runs...tell us what happens. thats the only way youll know for sure.

except people have done that. do you really think a spacer in a N/A fuel injected engine can add any performance?

the whole thing with spacers comes from carb'd engines. the idea was adding a spacer between the carb and intake to give the air/fuel more time to "atomize". in a fuel injected car, it does absolutely squat.

Nothing on modern MPI. Now if you hate a heat soaked carb and fuel entering above the spacer, that would be something else.
