Is it really a stage 3?
I just bought a 1997 GT and I really think it is a Stage 3 Roush. I can't post any pictures, not sure why, but it has a Gold plate on the drivers right side of the dash saying STAGE 3, 1000/0101. It has a roush supercharger on it along with side exhaust, the suspension setup thats blue, and body kit. It also has the Roush tool kit, 2 tone dash with black headliner, leather stitched steering wheel and roush floormats that are pretty worn out. Does anyone think it is possible that is really a stage 3?

I had a white 2000 Stage 2, I was worried since ithad everything from body kit-suspension-gauges-metal roushtag on the Dash. But it was not "Resigtered as a Roush" Like Roush #382 or somthing. I researched and found they started after my Year Model they started. But hey if it has all the Mods.....id say its a Roush. it it Roush prodution line number 86 no, but still sounds like a nice car. Buy it like it just has upgrades, not a RARE Roush

I called and talked to Roush but they also couldn't prove or disprove that it was really an authentic Roush stage 3. There best bet was to find someone that worked at Roush around that time and see if they remember building it. There records were not good during those times I guess. The tag on the dash has to be the real deal though, I think just because it is a pressed tag with Jack Roush's signature across the top, "Roush" below it, and "Stage 3" below that. I said it was a gold plate but it is silver, I just went and looked at it. So anybody work at Roush in 1997?

Officially, Stage 3 was only in 1995, then again in 2001. There isn't one from 96-2000.
The Stage 2 Premiums where the cars with blowers during the middle years. 96,97 and 98 they offered the roots blower with SVO heads, along with all the typical bells and whistles Roush cars got. However, some of the dealerships who were authorized to do Roush work badged some blower cars as "Stage 3" for sales purposes.

I am in the same boat. I posted in the Roush section though. Mine is pacific green. I too have the Roush stage III badge, supercharger, wheels, side exhaust, suspension. After talking to Roush the other day they said that it was possibly a dealer install. The article I seen said the kit was $17k.
