You are basically buying the same intake with a metal brace. It is a little stronger, but that is about it. Is it a good deal? If you need one. If you are just swapping, no. The intake gasket kit will cost another $50, at least.

the stock npi (all plastic) tends to crack under pressure flux (nitrous....) if you have no engine mods and dont race much then i would say stick with the old one. as far as the gaskets go, im not sure about his, but the PI i bought for my 99 GT a long long time ago had permagaskets (little rubber seals) that dont need to be changed unless they are rotted or torn.

you can if you buy the adapter plates. The PI intake has larger ports and flows better

Do NOT listen to the retards tellin u that u cannot put a PI intake on a Non pi stang! U most def CAN!! and it is a GREAT mod tht is cheap and worth the near 20hp u get from it. Go to MODULAR HEAD SHOP's web site and they have a GREAT write up on this. the best one tht i have seen anywhere actually. Its easy and yul luv it when its done. Do go to MHS's site tho! there are steps in there about using silicone around the coolant passages and what gaskets to use.

Basically all u need is the intake and pi gaskets, new pi coolant tube and block nipple, blsack silicone. remove the lil pins on the gaskets tht help hold them in the pi heads since u dont have pi heads, install the nipple and new tube, put the gaskets on the heads and see where the silicone is needed, silicone it and let it set put it all together. But go to MHS and under ARTICLES and write ups yull be set for sure. Nick the owner also sells a complete swap kit for a great deal and he is an awesome straight up guy!

Good Luck bro.

$50 is a steal for a PI intake...grab it up and enjoy the extra 15whp that comes with it :-)
