Steering Knuckle/Strut Help!!!

A few days ago I was pulling out of my driveway when I noticed my front driver's side wheel was making a weird noise. I pulled back in to inspect it and I noticed the wheel was crooked(top of the wheel was slanted inwards). So I did a little investigating and I discovered on of the lower bolt which hold the strut and steering knuckle was missing. Not sure how long this had been like this but I hadn't had any issues with the vehicle until this happened. I'm hoping I'll just be able to align the knuckle with the strut and replace the bolt, then get the alignment checked out at a shop. Not sure exactly how much work is gonna go into this though. Will I have to remove the steering link from the knuckle? Remove the steering knuckle from the lower control arm? Any help would be appreciated... Thanks

Tony

No, just get a new nut and bolt (genuine OEM parts from a junk yard or Ford dealer; not just any old nut and bolt), slap it in the hole and torque it to 148lbft--which apparently whoever installed the strut didn't do, or they over-torqued it and it broke...

Check the top bolt's torque while you are there, actually 'twas me I'd replace both bolts now that the top one has been doing the work of two for some time...

and don't drive the car too hard or far 'til it's fixed!!!
