Hey im interested in getting headers for my 2000 mustang gt 4.6 if anybody knows of some good ones or the best for that year i would really appreciate it .. also what are better equal length or longtube???

If you get longtubes you'll need to also get a shorty midpipe. I'd say go with ceramic coated longtube headers and a shorty h-pipe. H-pipes sound the best

ive got some BBK long tube headers, a catted BBK X pipe and a borla catback exhuast and the car sounds amazing. very throaty and you know there is somethin with a big V8 comin down the road when you hear it. i was driving down a road here and my friend was at a intersection and i nailed it turning on the intersection and he didnt know it was my car i was driving (first night of having headers) and he literally hung out the window looking at my car. it sounds sooo good.

I have SLP LM II’s with the SLP Catted X and am planning on getting the SLP Long Tubes here in the fall/winter. The LT’s will work with my current SLP setup, so I won’t have to buy another mid-pipe, but the SLP’s are REALLY expensive. They are worth it though IMO, and supposedly yield commendable gains….

about 400-450 for the headers (ceramic coated)... then about 350-450 for the H pipe.... i got my X pipe for 370 and my headers for about 402 on ebay.

SO I GUESS IM GONNA GO WITH THE BBK HEADERS THANKS FOR RESPONDING I'LL LET EVERYONE KNOW WHAT I THINK ABOUT THEM.... OH YEAH ALSO WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT ADDING A BASSANI X PIPE AND A BASSANI CATBACK???? LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS A GOOD COMBO THANKS

SLP longtubes are great. But as stated before its all a matter of what you like. Try to get some sound clips if you can.

mac long tubes with a short pro chamber. the headers are about 375 and the pro chamber is 200, if you dont do it yourself it'll cost a good bit to get the long tubes put on.
