have a 2003 GT 4.6, just purchased it with 16,000 miles on the car. Changed the fluids, belts and fuel filter. I am concerned about what sounds like lifter noise that comes from the engine on cold start-up. The noise only lasts for a few seconds than the engine runs fine. This never happens when the engine is warm. Hope to find some help out there our ford dealer doesn't have a clue.

It's normal, mine has done that since I got it with 30k miles on it 3-1/2 years ago, it just turned 100k the other day and runs like a champ...
