Default Left my car sitting for 4 months

well i am in the navy and just got back from deployment. somehow i forgot to leave my keys with the wife. so when i got back my battery was dead. no biggie. hooked up the jumpers to my truck and the car now turns over but will not start. is there anything else i should do? i know leaving it set wasn't a great idea but not i need to get it back on the road. any help is appreciated.

You probably need a fuel pump. The same exact thing happened to me when I got deployed to Iraq for 9 1/2 months. Funny enough, I was out in Hawaii when it happened too. Turn the key to the on position without starting it, you should hear a high pitched whine from the back of the car. This is the fuel pump priming the lines. If you do not hear it that's almost certainly what it is. make sure to replace your fuel filter while you're at it.

Same **** here too, let it sit all winter long. Make sure you also buy the seal for the filler neck, where it enters the gas tank. I replaced my pump without replacing that seal and then 2 days later I could smell raw gas and threw an EVAP code. Just got done replacing that seal about an hour ago actually.

You should need an internal pump... external fuel filter...

Is there a reason many of your fuel pumps are going bad just from the car sitting? Is the fuel going bad and corroding the pump?
