I paid $12k for mine with 53,000 miles in September of 2008. $11,600 is definitely too high.

My 2001 Cobra, and I hate to say I still payed too much, cost 13k with 60k miles with one owner in good< condition.

Talked 'em down 3.5k! and walked out 3 times. Stealerships, they make me facepalm.

Be firm.
Well.... cardealerships are lil devils lol. Up here (02-04) GT's with around 25K-60K miles are going anywhere from 12K-15K. I saw a 2004 Convt @ a dealership w/ 13,000 miles and they were asking 16k for it. I know with me I got my car 3.5 years ago w/ 32 thousand miles for it. They were asking 16,400. I got them talked down to 15,000. Then I traded in my Olds Alero which had 51,000 miles on it which they gave me $9,000. So I got my car (stock) for 6K. Which i think was great buy. But nxt time, private 1 owner i believe is the way to go.

I say skip it, If you haven't notice Gt's are going down/ went down you can get one for 6k bucks try getting at least a 01 its worth. in good conditions not with that millage with about 75UP.

Now if you have the cash and you're too concerned about the mileage get a Mach 1 I see them for 10k bucks with less miles than a GT (most of the time).

I think he won't go down a lot, Its your money bud but I strongly suggest you to get a mach 1 or older cobra they respond really good to mods than the gt, yeah cuz its DOCH engine with 4 valves per cylinder.

I spend like 5-6 months looking for a gt craiglist, autotrader, ebay everywhere as well, I wanted to be like new and guess what lol I find it he was asking for 6,200 he went down to 6k on the phone and 100 more personal so I paid 5,900 for it, with 82k miles in Dec 29,2010 interior like new, leather seats, headlights like new, the only bad thing its that it needs to be waxed the top its a little faded, and hood scoop and spoiler had all the clear off.

Lets all not forget convertibles go for more then a regular GT.

I would pay the 10-11 for it due to the miles on it. The tranny make me nervous though.
