Yes, my buddy is smart when it comes to engines/car stuff. I've checked my cable and it looks fine. I know it was dumb, but could NOT gapping my spark plugs cause this??

I'm also thinking about buying all new coil packs since the factory ones are notorious for effing up!! Good idea??

Yeah, my friend is smart with that kinda stuff. I remember having a loud whistle from my intake before he cleaned it. Though I heard that's a vacuum leak, I actually liked it. (it was running strong when I had the whistle/leak. Haha!)

I know it was dumb, but is not gapping the spark plugs a huge problem?
Also, should I buy all new coil packs?? Considering they're notorious for effing up...

Ps I checked the cable, looks fine.

well....do your spark plugs have any gap at all or just the gap that they shipped to you with? im not sure if incorrect gap can cause this much trouble. might as well re-gap them anyways. i think its .053-.056. i think

This is going to sound stupid as hell but maybe you where use to driving in the winter, and now that spring/summer is here you loss some power. your car makes more power in the colder weather then in the warm weather. If not that then drive with ac on and off, if there is a huge difference then the bearings in ac is shot. Also see if you can easly push your car in neutral with one hand (if you can't your caliper is stuck) Just throwing out some suggestions that will cause power loss w/o throwing codes. These things are more noticable down low. Good luck!

I'd check over everything he did again. Even seasoned mechanics overlook things every once in a while. COPs tend to go out fairly frequently with these cars, but that would most likely cause a misfire. Checking the plug gap would definitely be a good idea though I think it would have to be pretty off to cause this significant of a power loss.

Thanks guys for all the advise. I gapped the spark plugs and it made a noticable difference! Smoother climb in rpm's and a lot less hesitation. I also reset the PCM and I gotta say I think it fixed my problem. RPM's climb a lot faster!! I think my tuner was to blame for my problems. (superchips)
