Default 01-04 hood scoop install help

I posted this in the v6 forums as well, but maybe some of you 99-00 guys can help me out. Does anyone know how to install the 01-04 oem GT hood scoop on the 99-00 GT and 99-03 v6 hoods? I already have GT side scoops but I'm not putting them on unless I can figure out the correct way to drill the holes and everything for the hood scoop. Side scoops with no hood scoop would be retarded looking imo.

Diagrams, write-ups, anything would be greatly appreciated.

I bought one off of american muscle and it just double back tapes on. Some places paint them for you first for an extra $$. I set mine on the car and made sure it was located in the right spot. I used 1/2 masking tape to outline the scoop. Then I used a piece of scotch brite to scuff the area. I like to give the paint some teeth. Then using the supplied cleaners I followed the instructions. One thing I did was set the scoop over the heater vent in the house for a hour to make it a bit more pliable. Other than that it is very straight forward.

OEM scoops are both taped and bolted on. being you do not have the original holes you will need to drill them out, i would have to have the scoop in front of me to figure out the best way to marke the drill holes. Good luck keeping it on wether you bolt it or just tape it. my factory scoop flew off on the highway years ago.

Hmm.. I should tape mine I guess. I drilled holes and bolted mine one, but didn't bother with the tape.

I had the ford dealer paint and install for $110. I thought that was pretty good.
