Default 96 cobra overheating???? any suggestions or ideas??

I got a 96 cobra and it seems to be running a bit hot. I've had a 01 gt and it used to at the most stay in the middle of the temperature gauge. The cobra goes over that and sometimes seems that it almost goes into the hot. I took it to the dealership and I was told that it was normal for the cobras to run that hot... Any one here got a cobra?? does yours run that hot??? I've already changed the thermostat, the fan sensor, and had the coolant flushed. Thanks guys

those things were gonna be my guess, the only thing i could reccomend is to get a lower temp thermostat like a 180 or 160, that way the car starts cooling earlier so you dont over heat. also it could have something to do with the oil circulation, mabye the pump? whats your oil pressure look like? dont use that as concrete info, its just a guess. my 03 gt runs a little to the left of the middle of the thermostat gauge when shes warmed up if that helps

I had a 97 cobra and it had a similiar problem except it would be fine one second then spike into red and overheat and it turned out to be a head gasket.

the 96 cobras had cooling problems. ford makes a kit with higher output fans to solve the problem. i'm not sure where to find it though.

Do you have any mods to it? I know pulleys will bad on your cooling system as it slows the water pump down. Just a thought.
