Default upper control arms and exhaust, losing power?

i just installed some edelbrok adjustable upper control arms. I also went back to flowmaster series 40 mufflers, i took the car out for a quick spin and i floored it in the middle of second, normally i would spin the tires but they didnt spin at all and i took off. Now is this normal with a good set off uppers or did i lose power from the flows. Its one of those things that i might be thinking to much about because i shouldnt lose any power from the flows that replaced sss terminators, the sss exhaust is straight through. Or is it just the better uca's doing there job(i had ford racing in before and they looked like stock) and i am looking into this to much.I'll have to drive around a little more and see if it still feels like it has the same power, unless the flows are restricting the air flow( the car was tuned with the sss exhaust and a o/r hpipe and now i have a mrt high flow catted h-pipe and flows)
