Spark Plugs
#11
+1 as to gapping, new plugs are NOT pre-gapped, this is from NGKs FAQ:
Most precious metal (pm) plugs will come out of the box gapped around 0.050" but check 'em anyway--the Ford spec for pm plugs is 0.054".
Also, the OP has a 2002, meaning no plug wires in the classic sense...

I'll definitely make sure I do em right. Thanks for all the tips guys, and maybe I'll gave to bring all kinds of brews out to see which one helps the most with spark plugs once and for all

I'm at almost 75,000 miles and considering changing plugs and wires in my '04. I've seen some posts about going with NGK plugs and MSD wires. That's the set-up that I had in my '99 Eclipse too. Then again, I'm seeing a lot of positive posts with factory Ford wires and plugs. Quite a debate.
The other debate I have is going with either a Kona Brewing Company beer or something from Duck Rabbit brewery. If you don't know about those companies, ya bettah ask somebody! :-)

autolight, motorcraft or ngk plugs. even though the ford spec book says 100k 90% of them need to be done at 50k. and factory ford coils and boots work just fine(pi 4.6's do not have wires).
