in that case i recommend a high bypass CF-6-50 if your goin that route. flat rated 52,500 lbs of thrust.
and yes, i agree, with all the recommended options for a 600 rwhp motor, a 900 seems cheaper... but those blocks typically dont include those options either so its not really comparing apples to apples. how was the price on the MPH block? i hear they no longer exist (websites down)?
and i wonder, how much can one get for a stock 4.6 shortblock?

I get what your saying, but upgrading the clutch on a 98 gt that will soon be in the 400rwhp range is a no-brainer if the engine is already out. This will save the OP a huge headache down the road, not to mention a few hundred dollars in labor if he gets it done by a shop. Flywheel isn't necessary, but it will cost at least $50 to resurface the stocker anyways. You can find cheap deals on aluminum flywheels if you shop around.
