Default New Rear end

So I'm looking at building up my rear end, just wanting to see if anyone has any thoughts, recommendations, or suggestions to my set up here.

Ford Racing 8.8 31 spline LSD
Ford Racing 4.10 gears
Motive bearing kit
Moser 31 spline axles

Also wondering if anyone has used the Eaton 8.8 31 spline and how that might compare to the Ford Racing as far as quality/performance, or would recommend one over the other. Also if anyone sees anything I might be missing or something else I should get, let me know. Thanks.

With your tires I would do 4.30's. Im guessing but those tires are over 26" and depending on how much you wouldn't gain much over 3.98 or so. I'm sure there are folks with a gear calc that can do the math for you.

im running a 4.10 on a 31 moser axle with moser mini spool. on a 28" m/t tire. love the axles, but dunno about the eaton or frpp. what kinda rear suspension do u plan on doing. as of yesterday my car went into the shop and its getting a set of megabite jr lowers with metco double adj. uppers. a jpc custom race anti-roll bar, bulletproof torque boxes, and 3 inch wheel studs. im going to stick with the 50/50 lakewood shocks i have and switch back to the stock rear springs.

just a thought for you since i didnt see any suspension in your sig

I have no idea yet what I'm going to do for suspension, but that would be the next thing I do after this probably. Just gotta go one step at a time lol.

I looked it up and the Torsen seems pretty sweet. But can't seem to find a price or anywhere to buy it, anyone know where to look?

Those Torsen are fkn expensive. You will be more then fine with what you listed in your OP. Don't listen to the guy who said 4.30s, 4.10s are just fine. You won't get traction with either gear though lol

P.S. Your car is slow

I found my receipt for the Torsen T2-R from 07. Paid 617$ after shipping. Bought it from ON-track performance. I will see if i can find their website.

EDIT: Here is their email address. They have no prices listed that I saw but if you email them they will give you a price.

Oh and to anyone who has never run this differential...google it, and see how many forums you pull up, especially z28 forums, with nothing but praise about its performance. It is flat out a remarkable unit. Honestly, for Auto-X, it can't be beat. I don't know what the OP's goals are, if it is just straight track or street performance he is after, or Auto-X or what. But I can definitely tell you that it is not a regrettable purchase, with any of those applications in mind. I would say unless he becomes a straight track ONLY car, and wants to run a spool, then the Torsen T2-R is the way to go.

Hmmph,..they should give me sales commissions lol.
