How do i know when to rebuild rear end?

Default How do i know when to rebuild rear end?

long story short, feels like im getting a lot of 1 wheel wonders going around corners more often than i use to on my 96 gt. How can i tell if i need to start lookin at rebuilding it? thanks.

unless ur running a spool in the rear, going around corners one tire is going to spin the opposite way. and ull only get a 1 wheel peel. if its doing it in a straight line take off, then your either low on rear fluid or you can get ready to kiss the rear goodbye

The last part of that post is totally false, in a straight line if ur only spinning one tire this by no means would indicate that you're rear is going to blow up any day now, all it means is the clutch packs in the differntial are worn out and it can be driving like that for miles and miles without blowing up.
