Default 03 GT Brake/ Start help please!

Hello My name is AJ and i am new to MF but not to mustangs, i know a little but not a ton so i need some help please. I just recently bought 2003 GT after a lady in a purple minivan thought it would be a good idea to total my 99 GT. So after a few days of driving it i noticed that my brake light was going on and off during driving then stayed on so i added fluid to just under the max line and it turned of so i continued to drive it hoping that was the problem. Now after a few days it looks much lower than it was. The light isn't on yet but I think i may have a leak. I can't locate where the fluid is coming from so what should i do? do i need to replace all the lines? or is there something else i can do? my second problem is it has some trouble starting sometimes it isn't anything major it just takes longer than normal to start and turns over a few more times than i would like what could this be? thanks in advance

-AJ

If you are noticing a decrease in brake fluid after only a few days, a leak should be fairly easy to spot. First, though is determining if it is actually loosing fluid now or just appears that way. Just like any other fluid check, make sure it is done on a level surface each time. Brake fluid "level" will decrease slightly over time due to pad wear, but really shouldn't get to point where light comes on just from that. I seriously doubt that the steel lines are the case unless your car is a bit heavy on the rust side. Not impossible but not probable... I would look for signs of leakage around the master cylinder (both at points where reservoir mounts, and where it mounts up to booster) Also check at calipers and hoses. You may have to pull the wheels off to get a good look. The leak may not be obviously wet, but you may see dampness/grime collection at point of failure.
