Listen... you'll be ok either way you go. & a tuner won't hurt you car.

despite what i have said about the tuner i am using a performance tune in my car now with the pressure up. i have had the transgo kit in my closet for at least a year now just havent gotten around to installing it. have had bigger things on my plate.

but wouldnt all these big tuner companies have been sued or something by now if their products were causing transmissions to have a shorter life?

Increasing the global shift pressure through a tuner is absolutely 100% safe.

while we're on this 4r70w kick....

does anyone know a good performance trans. shop in the charlotte, nc area?

My trans shifts like from the 4.10s i put in and just age.

Or where can I get rebuilt parts, and how is it to rebuild one of these things?

thanks

Yeah 375 is a little pricey. But I didnt want to have to worry about doing the tedious drilling myself ontop of learning the dis-assembly and re-assembly of the valve body in the transmision. Doing it yourself looks relatively simple but at least I know mines done right.

You can buy a stronger rebuild kit from a lot of companies but one I know of off the top of my head is dirtydogperformance.com

I know what Hangwire has said but Transgo Shift Kits are just as good but don't cost nearly that much. I've used Trangso before, love it. I have an extra brand new one if your interested in it or anyone else?. PM me
