Default Need a little help

I've recently threw a rod in my 03 mustang gt and i put in a new engine and i have it almost done all except for the fuel rail and i was curious of something my old fuel rail had a fuel regulator with a sensor and the regulator on this motor is vaccum controlled and my fuel rail doesnt fit because its a 98 lincoln mark 8 dohc motor, so will it hurt to just hook up the vaccum lines to the regulators and not worry about it? will it still get fuel and operate properly?
