i installed my predator today, and i'm very pleased. i've been debating for a couple months on whether i wanted to buy one or not. i've heard so many mixed opinions on it i couldn't make up my mind. i found a new one for $300 so i figured what the hell. i also ordered a jlt cai at the same time. my previous mods the x pipe and magnapack made very coservative gains but i wasn't too worried about that because my car sounds awsome. anyways i took my car to a diablo dealer in san antonio and did a base run. my first run was very dissapointing. i wasn't expecting much, but i ran max power= 225 and max torque 256. i thought thats were it would be at stock. then he installed the predator and loaded the diablo performance tune and came up with 231rwhp and 267 torque, which wasn't a bad gain considering the mods i have. then he played with the programmer and did two more runs. i ended up with 241rwhp and 270 torque. thats 16 rwhp and 14 torque. the car pulls much harder, drives much better and shifts very firm. i just wanted to post this for all the people considering a predator. and my advice is to get it dyno'd when you tune it, plus it's only around $60.

Where did you find the predator new for $300? Why did you decide to go with the predator over the SCT Xcal 2?

So you have an automatic?? Sounds like your dyno numbers are just right to me, a 5 spd only dynos like 225-230 RWHP stock.

i got the predator from a guy on ebay. it was still brand new, but he decided to go sct, so his lose my gain. as far as why i decided to go with diablo, i guess just because thats what everyone recommended. i didn't know much about either one, so i just went with the majority.
