Default 2000 mustang gt Clutch replacement question

Hey guys had a few questions, I have a car lift, just was looking for the easiest way to change the clutch, I was thinking on just pulling the tranny and leaving everything on the motor hooked up. I was just gonna lift the car, pull the drive shaft and drain maybe 2 qts of dex/merc out of the tranny and then pull the drive shaft and unbolt the shifting lever if its like the T5 I thought this was a T45. Then just unbolt the exhaust if its in the way and then lower the car and unbolt the bell housing and pull it out. Is the tranny cross member removible or do i have to pull the motor? I forgot its been a while and I did like I said a 90 lx 5.0 clutch. The clutch is self adjusting to right?
Thanks
Craig
