Default 99-04 Convertible Boot Help

Hey guys,

I am attaching 3 images of my 03 GT convertible with the boot on and am seeking help because I don't think it is installed correctly. I circled the problem area in red.

I was unable to find any images of the same model with the boot on, and I am worried about driving on the freeway with my boot on like that because if I am traveling fast wouldn't the wind enter through the red marked spots and blow the boot clear off? I am able to push those spots down but there is nothing to hold them down and they rise back up again.

If any of you guys could post pictures of your boots correctly installed or advise me if I have the wrong type of boot that would be great.

Thanks.

That is exactly why I gave up on the boot cover. Mine would bubble like that in the middle. I just quit using it. It was a poorly designed piece in my mind. My dad's fits like crap, mine fits like crap, two other people I know fits like crap.....you get the idea....

if you or someone does figure it out let me know. I'm planning on making a fiberglass one sometime in the future.

^^So do they potentially fly off or just fit like crap?? I bought my car used and it didn't come with a boot, but judging by the above comments I suppose I shouldn't be jealous.

I haven't tried it yet. I don't want to take it on the freeway to try it out and have it cause an accident.

Thanks for the input guys. If you find anything let me know.

both, mine dosent fit right, comes up in the middle like i said. i put it on yesterday though cuz i had the car out for a while, i got her up to 70 and it didnt fly off but i was watching it the whole time thinking it might. it came out of the track in the center but just kinda stayed out and didnt go any further, looks like crap though no point in even having it on.

It's good to about 85mph. The wind coming over your windshield seems to hold it down, to a point.
