Default Throttle lagging

My 02' is acting up. I left it sitting here in 20 - 50 degree weather for a month on a 1/4 tank of gas. Well when I accelerate its like the throttle lags. Its like when you have traction control on and you spin yours tires and its bogs the motor down. Well its like that but to a lesser degree. Im going to clean the throttle body and air filter tomorrow, I threw in some fuel additive and filled her up with 92 octane. Got any ideas?

All I have is a cold air intake. I mod my 88' GT so not much money goes into the 02'

I had a kia that did that. I replaced the spark plugs and that fixed it. How many miles are on it?

may want to replace the fuel filter. had a similar problem in a taurus and that fixed it. also got the fuel pump replaced the next day, but i think it was unnecessary. but it was still under warranty, so why not right?
