EC Stang

i had a busy week, but two days ago I got it out with a lot of frustration and some good tool choices and some luck. I drilled at the nut on the side of the stud with a drill bit at an angle drilling part of the stud and nut. I kept going a drill bit size up every time i went to the flange part of the mid pipe and i started to get a gap where the stud meets the mid pipe, this is good. Not sure if i had this in my original post but i was hitting a large flat blade screw driver wedging it in the hole and twisting and turning and prying till the nut came loose leaving the damaged stud. Then failing with vise grips with no other way to get the stud out i went to sears and bought a stud remover from craftsman and another style stud remover rented from autozone and kept spraying it with PB blast every so often. This was across about 2 or 3 days and a few days i failed and gave up for the night and just sprayed more PB blast on it and a little heat from a torch. The other day using all the stud removers i had i started to move and then i had a fight the entire way twisting it off but i got it out and bought new studs at the dealer $17 each had to buy 4 even that i only needed one because how ford packages them, damn special orders. The ones I was finding around here at auto parts stores were bigger around a 12 mm size so i bit the bullet and got the ford ones. after that the exhaust went together smooth and i think it sounds great. Not to loud exactly what i was looking for. I have to say, i know its hard to tell, but it feels like it has more pep and acceleration seems stronger. Thanks for the replies and it was starting to look like the k member was going to need to be dropped and i just didn't have the time to do it.
