I just did a tune up on my car. The engine runs really strong but it just doesnt have the power i want it to have. How can in crease my horsepower or make what i have run better? Does it have anything to do with my fuel system/filter? Any ideas will help

What performance mods do you currently have or is your mustang stock? How much horsepower are you wanting to gain? What is your spending budget?

4.10 gears, PI swap, cams, LT headers, off road X pipe, catback exhaust. Or you could do a 4V swap. Those are pretty much your options.

well, gears are gunna be the best bang for you buck, I'd got 4.10 gears without a doubt. You will notice a hell of a different out of that gt with that. Most everything ^^ is exhaust.. ya no the pipes under your car? You can modify those to larger, more free flowing. lots of different options with exhaust.. pretty penny there. most of the things listed above are pretty expensive. If you want to get some quick stuff, go.. cold air intake, gears, short throw shifter, bigger throttle body, aluminum driveshaft, computer tuner like sct. Three things make a car run, air, fuel, spark/ignition. enhance in those categories... you'll get moving. I recommend www.americanmuscle.com, great wide site, great products, and sell all of that, and have installation guides as well for alot of the stuff. enjoy

OH BOY!!! I sure hope your best friends with your mechanic and get a deal or otherwise you're gonna make your mechanic a very rich man. ahahaha.....

The exhaust such as mid pipe & catback you can do yourself. As well as if you decided to by a Tuner (SCT or Diablo). I's skip the cold air intake. Its a complete waste & the factory installed one does the same thing. I'd skip doing all the bolt-on stuff right away and put in the meat: such as long tube headers, stage II cams, driveshaft. In addition to gears and exhaust. Then another easy install anyone do is adding a bigger throttle body such as 75mm & different plenum. Your best way to go on this is to buy a combo pack with them both included: Acufabb & Trick Flow for example.
Good luck>>> ps i see someone said shop at American Muscle. Make sure to pm AMSTANG (amy) for a MEMBER"S ONLY discount code.

look into getting ported cylinder heads, stage 2 cams, and 4.10 gears. that setup will be hugely rigged for acceleration! you'll sure feel that! a cheaper option would be to go with longtube headers, which connect to your cylinder heads and down to the other portion of your exhaust.

Without forced induction of some sort, or a very high revving built n/a motor, you pretty much are limited to around 300-320 rwhp in general. I mean that's probably around a 100 hp more than what you're at now, but in the scheme of things it's still not a lot of power by today's standards.
