Default MSD COILS on, now it sputters 98 gt

just recently added a new set of msd coils to my car, i have pi swapped, h-pipe, kn drop in, sniper tune, well i just got on it for the first time since i installed the coils, and as soon as it hits about 5,000 rpm it starts to sputter like its losing spark or fuel, i was wondering if the stock plug wires combined with the high output coils couuld be causing this, any help would be great.

Well one possible cause could be plug wires, but there's a bunch of things that could cause this. Another could be lack of fuel...maybe the pump is going? Partially clogged fuel filter? You could also try poppin the hood at night and have someone check for spark leak while you rev it up.

+1. if your old ones are bad, buy some motorcraft ones from autozone. i can almost guarantee it will work fine. also, make sure you're using motorcraft wires too, and not msd.

put the old coils back on, the problem went away sort of, now at that same rpm the problem occurred but not as bad, just had one little miss like a plug missed one fire and the old coils were fine when i took them off a couple days ago, i am thinking maybe the wires are breaking down and the voltage from the msd coil was making it worse, i know its not the fuel pump cause when it happened with the msd coils the a/f went really rich,

i seriously doubt that yur new MSD coil packs are causing yur problem. it sounds to me like bad wires or bad plug. id get some new wires and when is the last time u checked yur spark plugs? how old are they? My msd wires and coil packs work great. my car runs smoother at higher rpms with the msd setup.
