Default 30lb injectors and mass air help?

i have a 97 pi gt that is modded pretty good. i have full bolt ons except injectors and mass air. i also spray a 125 shot of nitrous and run 11.89@115mph. do u think if i bought 30lb injectors and c&l mass air i would benefit at all and if so can u tell me what to expect from the car.

You would probably need a flipchip and really detune it for street racing or a manual pressure regulator. No real need for 30 lb injectors on a stock compression GT. You are probably seeing upper 9's for compression. I would say 21lb injectors will do you fine.

Yeah, 30# is way too much. 21 or maybe 24, but I think jdaniel is right about the 21#s. Is the NOS a wet or dry? Also, you can improve your times by stiffening the chassis. Doesn't look like you've gone there yet. U/LCAs, subs, springs, etc.

Oh, and a turbinator! Got to have one of those.

i have the noszle kit which is a wet kit. and also my compression is about 10.5 to 1 because of the pi headswap on a 96-98. i do need to have it tuned probably real soon within the next few weeks i will tune it at steen racing in norfolk va.

I dont think the compression ratio is gonna be that high with just the swap. I think the most you will see is 10.1:1.

PI swapped cars get around 10.5 compression, no such things as 21# injectors on Fords (contrary to what a few believe), 24#'s would be a good idea for sure. If your running a dry shot then 30's would be good.

Joe, Im telling you... I talked to Tim at MPH and he said that 2002+ GT's come with 21# injectors and that the pink ones ARE the 21#. Call and ask him and see what he says.

I'm with jdaniel on this one. I have the pinks. I think Bosch makes the 21#s, but not sure.

quaterhorse,

If you go with injectors, then you'll need the MAF (calibrated). I wouldn't expect to see big gains, though.
