need new clutch?
 

when i go and try and take off in first you can feel the clutch grab but then loose power then comes back. is this a sign that i need a new clutch? also when im going in reverse and i let out the clutch i hear this clunking noise and sounds like its coming from the trany. does any one know what could be wrong?[sm=helpout.gif]

One sign it might be going bad is if it is slipping. While in gear rpm's go up but mph stays the same or increases slower than they should. This kind of sounds like what you are talking bout.

yeah it seems like the clutch is going but the rpms dont go up, the power is just lost then comes back. any idea about the noise im hearing?
