I was wondering if you guys might be able to give me some best guess, ballpark answersers! With the mods(list below) that are on my 96 gt, what do you think the Horse Power, Tourque, etc. are? I just bought it about a week ago and having fun driving it a learning about it! thanks.

Well id say you only have like 205 to 215 to the wheels. That K&N is good for proven 10 and your starting w/ 180-190. Superchip maybe 10 prolly like 5, and that catback like 3.

It's a K&N proven 10 hp which means about 3 hp. But you will probally be at 200-205 hp. Get some gears and wake her up.

55 HP from the streetglow, good to know because i don't like them and was going to take them off but i don't want to lose 55 hp to my front wheels!
Really though, I wasn't even thinking gears. I was thinking the next mod would be PI heads. Also what is the deal with new pulleys? Is that a performance thing or just replacement parts?

Thanks peeps

You should think gears, & think 4.10's at that. There are plenty of other cheaper cost effective mods such as pulleys among other things that could be done to your car before a head swap.

Ok you guys have got my attention! tell me more about these gears!
They don't look that expensive. What is entailed with doing an gear switch? Do I have to change anything else? What do they do, change the shift points? Allow you to rev higher, or increase tourque?
In short I no nothing about gears!

you will get more torque because of the taller gear. alot of people say that ford threw the wrong gearing when they built the mustang due to the power lag due to the gearing. putting 4.10's in will make it feel like you added about 30 or more hp to your car even though your not. these are what every mustang needs excluding sced ones. the gears will run you about 180. for the ford racing one, 80. - 100. for the install kit with shims and bearings, and the install of everything will run 250. to 300. this is to me the best mod for the mustang and would recommend it to any mustang owner. just my .02 cents.
