5.4 mmr 900 short block 12 to 1 comp. trickflow heads with stage 1 port job comp 278 cams edlebrock victor jr. intake 39lb injectors ,sulivan twin 64 plentum ,cobra twin 64 throttlebody, jlt air intake ,2800 mass air, adapter plates are port matched to heads and intake. i have a automatic trans, with a 3200 stall, manual valvebody, with no lock up on 3erd so i cant lock up the converter on the dyno. my dyno numbers were 287 and 402 i reached peek torq. at 2000 rpm 402, and a slow decline from there down to 200 at the end of the pull. i built the the thing to spray a 250 shot so i knew my n/a numbers would not be that high ,my exspectations were something around 360 and 440.is there something wrong, any ideas? or were my exspectations just to high? i have some ideas of my own but could allways use some help!

how was it running? lean/rich? dyno sheet may help some of the pros here on the forums point you in the right direction. Could need more fuel and maybe the stock pump isnt enough? Seems like with all the mods you have your expectations should be closer to the actual numbers.

I'm assuming these are corrected SAE numbers at the crank, and not to the wheels.

What are the specs on the 278 cams? What's your cam timing set at? Ignition timing set at? With a torque number that low- you can probably shift it higher.

If the torque converter is slipping, it should throw the torque curve slightly higher.

How high are you revving this thing? And what octane fuel are you running?

it could be so many things man, that sounds like a pretty powerful setup, i would go over the basics, compression check, vacuum leaks, the common things. As for your 287hp and 402 torq sounds like your intake charge may not be moving fast enough, but thats just a guess!
