Default fipk versus demolet

I got the demolet cai to replace my fipk and let me tell you, the demolet kick the fipk's rear. There is not much of a difference at first start up but after driving and all is hot the demolet rocks. I was running a ait at 135-145 degrees according to data logging with the fipk and running the demolet Im running at 90-105 degrees ait. I read on some site that for every 10 degree increase there is a 1 hp lose and vice versa. Just thought I would let you guys know that are looking for a cai. Dont buy the engine mount filter system or one that has a metal intake tube? Colder is better or should a say not as warm.

Yeah, it's suppose to be damn good stuff. On Kenne Belle's website, it has a LOT of information about using a completely plastic intake and mounting it in the fenderwell location. It was quite an extensive read, and well written by people who have done a LOT of testing and research.

In fact, Kenne Belle actually voids the warranty on their twinscrew supercharger systems for people who do NOT use this air intake setup with their kits. That's a very heavy choice from a company as esteemed as KB. They draw in so much colder air that they highly recommend them over any other cold air intake kit.

Does a plastic fenderwell style CAI make a difference over an engine mounted kit, or a cheap crappy one such as MAC or any other aluminum/metal one?

You betcha.

Congrats on a killer intake, I hope to get one soon! How much did it run ya?

I ALSO AGREE THE DEMOLET OR DENSECHARGER CAI IS THE BEST ON THE MARKET. I HAVE IT AND I LOVE IT AND WOULD RECOOMEND THE CAI AND THEIR COMPANY TO ANYBODY!

Same here, great product, and great service.

I've had mine over a year, and still is great.

Hmmm... I didn't know this. I knew about the kenne bell thing but I did not know they made a plastic tube fendermount CAI for stock or N/A GT's. I'll have to look into this it seems.
