Sup guys! ok ima sound noobish i think. but my 97 mustangs check engine light came on. here's the problem. when my mustangs engine is cold like in the morning when im driving to school i try to speed up a bit and itll like jump or do a short rumble like its having trouble changing gear or speeding up. but when the engine is hot it wont do it at all. i looked around and im thinking its a camshaft sensor or a 02 sensor is what i herd. What do you guys think? i can replace the part myself. my other mitsubishi eclipse 04 had the same problem it was a gear sensor and it had the check engine light on 2. any advice would help thx guys!!

Dont think a CPS is affected by temperature, as something like a coolant temp
sensor would be.

There's no point in blind speculation as to what the problem might be...

Go by any FLAPS (Favourite Local Auto Parts Store) and have them read the code--they all do it for free...

Write down the exact code(s), and pay far less attention to what they tell you the problems is as they will only give you a generic description.

Once you get the codes look them up here...
