A dry compression test consists of pulling all the plugs, propping the TB open, and checking the compression of each cylinder.
The wet test is done by injecting a couple teaspoons or so of oil into each cylinder and then checking to compression again. The oil will temporarily seal the rings and if the compression reading increases you can be pretty sure the rings are shot--if it doesn't then it's a valve seating problem...

thank i am going take it to a garage and have them pull the heads then take them to a speed shop that's near by to have fixed. I will also have them do the compression tests. It just sucks i just bought the car and it has a crap load of aftermarket stuff on it. I just hope it is the valve seals because it still runs good.
